What is SEC: The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigeria is the apex regulatory institution of the Nigerian capital market supervised by the Federal Ministry of Finance.

What is NSE: The Nigerian stock exchange, is a corporation or mutual organization which provides "trading" facilities for stock and traders, to trade stocks and other securities. Stock exchanges also provide facilities for the issue and redemption of securities as well as other financial instruments and capital events including the payment of income and dividends.

What is CSCS: Central Securities clearing system.

Who is a broker: A stock broker or stockbroker is a regulated professional who buys and sells and other through market makers or Agency Only Firms on behalf of investors.

What is a CSCS Number: CSCS Clearing House Number (CHN) enables an investor to obtain a consolidated stock balance irrespective of the number of stockbroking firms used.
An investor needs to be uniquely identified; a CSCS Clearing House Number (CHN) is required for efficient management (e.g. corporate actions like dividends, bonus shares, etc.) of Registers of Members.
Thus, for each stock broking firm an investor engages, he is assigned a new.

What is an IPO: An initial public offering, or IPO, is the first sale of stock by a company to the public. A company can raise money by issuing either debt or equity. If the company has never issued equity to the public, it's known as an IPO.

 How do I transfer funds into my trading account? You can add funds in your account by depositing a cheques, paying cash or by transferring funds to SSL account with the Various SSL Bank account:

How can I withdraw funds from my trading account?

 A withdrawal letter is written and acknowledge by the client’s making the withdrawal. For stock sale the cheque will be issued T+3 after the date of the transaction.

When will the shares be credited to my account?

For stock purchased the stocks will settle in the clients account three days after the stock was purchased T+3, the CSCS operates a T+3 system.

How can I transfer shares from another brokerage firm to SSL?

Once the inter-member transfer is completed fully and the authorized signatories have signed the prospective client out and into the firm. CSCS will grant the transfer.
